Vice President: Erica Thomas, Class of 2025

Erica is a third year medical student, proud NYU grad, and lifelong New Yorker. She joined Humans of NYMC in 2022, hoping to seek inspiration for her medical school journey from those around her. Along the way, she realized that there’s always something extraordinary to be revealed about the person sitting next to you and aspires to uncover both the shared and unique experiences that make up our community. Erica’s interests lie in pediatric emergency medicine and acute care surgery. In her spare time, you may find her rewatching Seinfeld, scrolling aimlessly on GrubHub, or demonstrating exceptionally mediocre skills at the local Muay Thai gym.

Lead Editor: Priyanka Gera, Class of 2026

When there isn’t a book in her hands, she is happily spoiling her 2-year old Maltese with treats and fashionable clothes. Having served as a school newspaper editor for the past decade, she is excited to join the HONYMC team as Lead Editor and share her classmates’ life stories.
